Friends,
I wanted to take a minute to share with you where this blog is headed. Over the years, I’ve written about personal development, diet and nutrition, and how teachers can best implement AI into the classroom, but moving forward, this space is going to take on a more personal focus. This will be the place where I share my own lectures, writings, poetry, and daily observations as seen through the lens of my Christian worldview.
Now, don’t worry… if you’re an educator looking for teaching strategies, classroom tools, and AI prompts, that’s all still alive and well. I’ve just moved those posts (which took up most of the past year) over to my dedicated education blog at www.theclassroomnewsletter.com. So, if teaching tips and classroom resources are what you’re after, that’s the place to go.
Here on mitchfairchild.com, I’ll be digging into the subjects that I love dearly:
- Jesus and the value of faith in everyday life
- Texas History and American History
- The culture of pipe smoking (and maybe a little bourbon talk)
- Conservatism and Agrarianism
- Exercise and Nutrition
- And the importance of family in a world that often overlooks it
This blog is going to be less about “polished resources” and more about “real reflections.” There might be times when it may be a short observation from my walk with the Lord. Other days it may be a poem that’s been stirring in my heart, or a deep dive into history, culture, or family life.
I’m excited about this next chapter. This blog is where I’ll get to be unapologetically myself… a Christ follower, a husband, a father, a Texan (Southerner), a lover of history and tradition, and a man who believes in the importance of family and hard work. In other words… the things I was raised on.
So, welcome to the new journey. Thanks for sticking with me. Let’s see where the good Lord takes us.Blessings,
~Mitch
